Another thread I decided to initiate to compliment Rogue of the Day and Video of the Day - sometimes a picture can say so much more than words can. Feel free to add with or without caption.
What better place to start than September 2007 - the beginning of the end..
Short debate on Operation Grange's “new suspect”. Rua Segura is a daily TV show broadcast by CMTV, presented by Sara Carrilho, where criminal and current issues are debated and analysed. On this episode the program had as guests Carlos Anjos, former PJ inspector and former head of the Criminal Investigation Officers' Union and Rui Pereira, former Minister of Internal Affairs.
Sara Carrilho - Scotland Yard is searching for a former Ocean Club worker, the tourist resort in Praia da Luz from ...
Which way do members think the McCanns will go now? Trying to start a discussion on this,
First of all, the Portuguese Supreme Court decision. I would say that they have exhausted any means of continuing with this, There may be talk about the ECHR, but from what I know they would have no grounds on which to .take case there. I fail to see how they could claim that their human rights were breached, when they were given more than due process, having been given access to all the tiers of justice ...
I’m starting a new thread, ‘Video of the Day’.
The idea is to present some of the most informative videos for members and guests to look at. I’ll put one up every day, as with the ‘Rogue of the Day’ thread.
Just as on that thread, this will be a member participation thread. Please feel free to share with us all what you think are some of the most informative and persuasive YouTube vids you’ve seen. Shorter ones by preference, but longer ones if you wish.
If possible, could you please ...
Reading the files and confusing myself. Think there is so much said on forums that things sometimes get confusing.

6 - This dog signalled the lower outside area next to the driver's door of the Renault - 59-DA-27 - that was rented by the McCanns (cf. page 2187 and/or annex 88);
7 - Finally it "marked" the key/card of that vehicle when it was hidden under a fire prevention sand box (cf. page 2187 and/or annex 88);
So Eddie didn't mark in the boot of the car? So ...

Part Two - Following the Money
JB writes: It wasn’t long before expert assistance to the McCanns began to arrive, especially, it might be said, once it became common knowledge that money was being hurled at the parents on a giddying scale.
Kate McCann, in Madeleine, describes meetings with the IFLG – lawyers specializing in international custody battle cases who, she says, “told us that we needed to set up a ‘fighting fund’, whose ...

'if one child was found out of 1,000 whose information was made public online, that would be a success.'
Maybe one in a thousand is 'a success', but really?
Missing child appeals 'can leave negative online footprint'

More should be done to protect former missing children whose names and images remain online long after they are found, a report says.

Chapter 1: Changes in Story
Video of PeterMac testing shutters of McCann's apartment in Praia da Luz
Changes to the original story
Changing the initial version of events, especially concerning a report of a missing child, is a classic ‘red flag’ warning to police investigators to query both, or all, versions of events in great detail. Indeed when presented with changes the Police may begin to focus on that aspect, to the exclusion of the original report.
A child protection expert has said he should not have been allowed to get away with the crimes, and that police had enough to pursue a prosecution.
"In this incidence you had an admission, so you didn't have... to worry that the allegation was old, and the evidence may be stale," said Jim Gamble, a former senior officer with the Police Service of Northern Ireland.
"You had a contemporary admission. And given that, I don't understand ...

Blood in the boot of the McCanns' hire car.
Both Eddie and Keela alerted to the Renault Scenic; the car the McCanns hired 24 days after Madeleine was reported missing. Following an alert to the side of the boot, Martin Grime (the dogs' handler), instructed the forensic team to inspect further.
Using the following link from the PJ files as source:

Hello, I'm new here. Never believed the abduction story from the start but only recently started to look into the high strangeness of the whole affair after watching some Richard D Hall films.
My quick question is what is the prevailing thought about why they are being protected? There is so much material to read through so any hints of what to search for would be welcome.
I can see they are being protected ...
According to India Ford, a 'body language expert' in last night's Channel 5 documentary, Kate McCann suffered 'real grief', while Karen Matthews copied her:
Sun, April 2017
Early last year, I and a number of other complainants wrote to the Solicitors' Regulation Authority (SRA) - part of the Law Society - regarding certain alleged actions taken by Edward Smethurst. I published on CMOMM the result of the court judgment in favour of J P Whitter, Waterwell Engineers (kindly sent to me by Sally Whitter), who had not been paid for extensive waterwell drilling on Smethurt's land in Ashworth Valley, Rochdale.
He had used his builder, Richard Gear, to make the contractual ...
Apologies if this is in the wrong place - please do move if appropriate.
It's now less than a month until the 10th Anniversary of Madeleine being lost. Have all other anniversary's (apart from the first 1 or 2) been this quiet?
I know there was bidding opportunity for exclusives over a year ago. Surely if a 'genuine' missing person, appeals would be being made on this important run up? In fact, have the McCanns ever made an appeal apart from in PDL in the early days?
No new age progression ...
